The struggle has now come up to a point where I have to hunt down on the Educational loan. I thought it would be easy. But turned out to be a nightmare. A few Indian private banks are more than rude when people ask for "arts and social" loans like an educational loan. The major reason being it's not a logically profitable loan for them and risky too. But the government underlines the fact that they are necessary for the betterment of the society.
Although, it is a fight and eventually I may win it... You have to go through lot of undue torture. Here are some of the responses of a few pathetic bank managers...
Bank of Maharashtra - "Loans? Don't ask for them at least for 2 months... Don't you see the pile of files for approval" - and I say "forget it..."
Canara Bank - "Please go to the bank where you have a salary account. Unless you have an account with us for 6 months we cannot give any loan"
HDFC Bank - "We can give it... But with some conditions!" Thankfully they live upto the offer they make, althought they have strict terms, there was an absence of rudeness.
Anyway... We have to fight when the time calls for it...
Hopefully we will see what the fight yields in the next couple of months.
Untill then,
Bye..
Abhinandan.
